In the spring of 2010 Emma earned a certificate in documentary writing from the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies in Portland, Maine. Included on this site are two main stories she focused on: an article about the Portland Pirates ice hockey team and an article that addresses transportation issues in Portland’s Libbytown neighborhood. The latter appeared, in a slightly different form, as the cover feature story for Portland’s monthly alternative, the Bollard.
